Sky Vault Media is a videography, photography, drone, and web services company based in Kalispell, Montana. This policy explains what information we collect through skyvaultmedia.co, why we collect it, who it is shared with, and the choices you have. We keep this in plain language on purpose.

Information We Collect

Information you give us

When you submit our quote request form, we collect the information you choose to enter:

• Name
• Email address
• Phone number (optional)
• Service you are interested in
• Project details you include in the message field

We only ask for what we need to respond to your inquiry and prepare a quote. If you contact us directly by phone or email instead, we receive whatever information you share in that message.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, we collect limited technical and usage information automatically through analytics, including approximate location (city or region level), device and browser type, pages viewed, how you arrived at the site, and how long you stayed. This information is aggregated and is not used to personally identify you.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Respond to your quote request or question
• Prepare estimates and communicate about a potential or active project
• Provide services you have hired us for
• Understand which pages and services people find useful so we can improve the site
• Maintain the security and functionality of the website

We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent or trade it. We do not add you to a marketing list from a form submission without your consent.

Analytics cookies

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site. It sets cookies that help distinguish one visit from another and measure things like page views and session length. We have IP anonymization behavior enabled by default in GA4, and we do not use Google Analytics for advertising remarketing.

Essential functionality

Some data is stored by your browser purely to make the site work, such as remembering that you have loaded a video. This is not used for tracking.

Your choices

You can control or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. You can also opt out of Google Analytics across all websites using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Blocking these cookies will not break the site.

Third-Party Services

We use a small number of outside services to run this website. Each one receives limited information, and each has its own privacy policy:

Netlify (hosting and forms)

Our site is hosted on Netlify, and quote form submissions are processed through Netlify Forms. When you submit the form, your information is transmitted to and stored by Netlify, then delivered to us. Netlify also processes standard server logs, including IP addresses, as part of hosting. Google Analytics

Analytics data is processed by Google. See the Google Privacy Policy and how Google uses data from partner sites.

Google Fonts

We load typefaces from Google Fonts. When your browser requests a font, your IP address is visible to Google as part of that request. No cookies are set by this.

YouTube

Our portfolio videos are hosted on YouTube. We deliberately use a click-to-load approach: until you actually click play on a video, no YouTube iframe loads and no YouTube cookies are set. Once you click play, YouTube may set cookies and collect data under Google's Privacy Policy.

Social media links

Our site links out to our profiles on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. These are ordinary links, not embedded trackers, so no data is shared with those platforms unless you click through. Once you are on their platform, their privacy policies apply.

How We Share Information

We share your information only in these situations:

• Service providers who help us operate the site and communicate with you, such as our hosting and email providers, and only to the extent needed to do that work
• When required by law, such as a valid legal request or to protect our legal rights
• With your permission, for example if you ask us to feature your project publicly

We do not share your quote request details with other clients, competitors, advertisers, or data brokers.

Client Media and Project Content

If you hire us, photos, video, and other media we produce for your project are handled according to the terms of our agreement with you. We may showcase completed work in our portfolio, on social media, or in marketing materials unless we have agreed otherwise. If you would prefer we not use your project publicly, tell us and we will honor that.

Data Retention

We keep quote request submissions and related correspondence for as long as needed to respond, complete any resulting project, and meet ordinary business and tax record requirements. Analytics data is retained according to our Google Analytics settings. If you would like your inquiry deleted from our records, contact us and we will take care of it.

Your Privacy Rights

Regardless of where you live, you can ask us to:

• Tell you what information we have about you
• Correct information that is wrong
• Delete your information from our records
• Stop contacting you

Depending on your state or country, you may have additional rights under laws such as the Montana Consumer Data Privacy Act, the California Consumer Privacy Act, or the GDPR. We honor these requests from anyone who asks, not just residents of those places. Contact us using the information below and we will respond promptly. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

Security

Our site is served entirely over HTTPS, and our form includes spam protection. We limit access to inquiry information to people who need it. No method of transmitting information over the internet is completely secure, so while we take reasonable steps to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's Privacy

This site is intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, contact us and we will delete it.

Our site links to other websites, including client projects we have built and our own social media profiles. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites. We encourage you to read their privacy policies.
